Discovering Lake Geneva – Chocolate, Château and Chaplin – NEW AND IMPROVED ITINERARY
Lake Geneva is Western Europe’s largest lake. The Southern shores are in France, but the palm tree studded shores of the Swiss Riviera stretch along the north shore and home to the cities of Geneva, Montreux and Lausanne and Vevey. Snowy mountains, vineyards clinging to the hillside, ancient castles and cathedrals, and the sound of cowbells tingling in the meadows, all combine to make this a very special place.
On this tour we will explore Lausanne and it’s ties to the Olympic movement, a cruise on Lake Geneva (Lac Leman), visit to a medieval castle, the city of Montreux, home to the famous Jazz Festival and links with Freddie Mercury and the pop group Queen, learn about the legendary comic genius that is Charlie Chaplin who lived in Vevey for most of his life, a ride on a cog-wheel train, a wine tasting and a cheese and chocolate making demonstration and tasting experience.
A true Swiss Experience!
