To explore some of the uniqueness of Brazil, the tour starts in Rio de Janeiro with the famous Christ the Redeemer and Sugarloaf Mountain. It continues with a visit of the Iguassu Falls and a stay in a lodge in the Amazon Jungle. After exploring the jungle in all its beauty, the tour continues to historic Salvador.

Day 1
Fly from the UK
Fly to Rio de Janeiro International Airport. Upon arrival, you will be transferred to your hotel on Copacabana Beach.
Day 2
Rio de Janeiro – Christ the Redeemer and Sugarloaf Mountain
The day starts with a journey along the beaches of Rio to reach the Cosme Velho district where you will take a cogwheel train up the famous Corcovado Mountain to Rio’s top attraction, Christ the Redeemer. After, continue to Sugar Loaf Mountain on a two-stage cable car ride where you can enjoy stunning and unrivaled views from the 270-meter high lookout. Later, visit downtown Rio and discover the colonial buildings where the city started to develop. Pass by the Marechal Floriano Square, also known as Cinelandia. This square concentrates the best of late 18th century French style architecture in Rio de Janeiro: the Municipal Theatre, a scaled-down version of the Paris Opera; the Fine Arts Museum and the National Library.
Day 3
Rio de Janeiro – Sightseeing
After breakfast you have the day at leisure to explore the “Cidade Maravilhosa” (The Marvelous City) or relax on the world famous beaches of Copacabana and Ipanema.
Day 4
Iguassu Falls Walking Tour
This morning fly to the Brazilian border and transfer to your hotel at the core of the Iguassu National Park. The Iguassu Falls is a tropical natural wonder with beautiful vistas and 275 thundering cascades. Enjoy a walking tour on the Brazilian side along the winding trail towards the falls.
Day 5
Explore the Iguassu Falls National Park
After breakfast you will have the day at leisure to do some of your own exploring. Look out for some rare animals including jaguars, tapirs, anteaters and large toucans. Visit the lookout balcony of the majestic Devil’s Throat just a few meters from the mighty falls.
Day 6
Manaus – Amazon Jungle Adventure
You will be transferred to Iguassu Airport for your flight to Manaus. Arrival and transfer to your lodge in the Amazon Jungle. In the evening, explore and spot some alligators before enjoying dinner at the lodge.
Day 7
Amazon Jungle Walk
After breakfast explore the jungle on a walking tour. Visit the regional craft shops in Novo Airão and the feeding spot for the pink dolphins.
Day 8
Tiririca Community
Wake up early and watch the sun rise. After breakfast have fun fishing for piranhas before visiting the Tiririca community and learn about their culture.
Day 9
Fly to Salvador
Enjoy your last breakfast in the jungle before transferring to Manaus airport for your flight to Salvador. On arrival you will be transferred to your hotel.
Day 10
City Tour of Salvador – All Saints Bay and Terreiro de Jesus
Explore Salvador with a historical tour of the city. Stop at Barra Lighthouse overlooking All Saints Bay, the largest bay in Brazil and one of the largest in the world. Continue to Santa Maria Fortress, where Tomé de Souza docked in the 16th Century; Campo Grande and the monument of the Liberation of Bahia. Later take the Lacerda Lift to the Terreiro de Jesus – a square with 5 churches, among them the Basilica Cathedral, built in the 18th Century and famous for its golden interior.
Day 11
Explore Salvador
Today you are free to explore the city on your own. Pay a visit to Vitória and its 19th Century mansions and experience the thriving commercial life on Sete de Setembro Avenue.
Day 12
Return Flight to UK
Transfer back to Salvador airport for your return flight home. You may extend your stay to one of the beach resorts near Salvador.
March to November are dry months and December to February are wet months in Southern Brazil. During the Brazilian winter (June to September) the weather in Rio and the surrounding area is similar to the summertime in Northern Europe. The rainforest areas, Pantanal and the Amazon are warm and humid all year round.
