British Airways i360
I felt privileged to be invited to the pre-launch of the British Airways i360 on Tuesday the 3rd August, 2016. Opening officially on the 4thAugust, this is simply a combination of exceptional engineering technology and architectural design. It is the world’s tallest moving observational tower at 162 metres (531 feet) high and it is also the most slender tall tower in the world, with a height to diameter ratio of over 40 to 1.
Located on Brighton beach, where the once famous Victorian pier stood, it was then said you could experience walking on water. With the British Airways i360 you have the opportunity of experiencing walking on air! The pod will elevate up to 200 people to a height of 138 metres(453 feet), while simultaneously providing an observation platform giving passengers unimpeded views and the freedom to stroll around or sit whilst taking in the unfolding views. The flight takes around 20 minutes in total.
