Harrogate Hotcakes

Charlotte, Sarah and Katharine from UK department recently took a jam packed trip to Yorkshire, starting at RHS Harlow Carr where we enjoyed a cup of tea at their famed Betty’s Tearoom overlooking the spectacular gardens.  We then visited the regal Majestic Hotel and Greatdays’ favourite The Cairn Hotel. We were treated to a private tour of the breathtaking Harewood House where we were shown costumes used in the filming of ITV’s Victoria, saw the Chippendale bed where the real Queen Victoria slept, and learnt of the scandalous history of Lady Worsley! We even briefly met the Lady Dowager and her dogs!

Our trip was rounded off with lunch at the Woolpack Pub at Esholt (used in soap opera Emmerdale), and a trip to UNESCO World Heritage Site Saltaire, where we admired the Wurlitzer organ in Victoria Hall.
