Top of the Shrops!
UK department recently took a trip to Shropshire, starting at The Feathers Hotel Ludlow, described in the New York Times by historian and author Jan Morris as ‘the most handsome inn in the world’. Sadly Ludlow Castle was closed but we enjoyed free time exploring this pretty market town.
Next up was a tour around UNESCO World Heritage Site Ironbridge, including Victorian working museum Blist Hill. We enjoyed stepping back in time and learning about Victorian lifestyles, although hearing about Victorian dentistry set our teeth on edge! We also undertook some hotel inspections, viewing the luxurious Telford Golf and Spa Q Hotel and firm group favourite Buckatree Hall Hotel located in The Wrekin.
We loved the area so much it inspired a Victorian Valentine’s Day itinerary.
