Belgium in 3 Days – Bruges, Ghent and Brussels
Belgian waffling on…
To better acquaint themselves with our Belgian product, last month Pete and Alexandra, from our European Operations department, spent a few busy days in Bruges, Ghent and Belgium. Viewing hotels and attractions in person allows them to better customise tours for our groups.
After a late flight out and a 1am arrival at their hotel, they spent a day in visiting hotels in the charming city of Bruges, while enjoying beautiful weather. Not content with walking along the canals between appointments, they decided to brave the 366 steps of the Belfry for a stunning view, before visiting the Historium Brugge; a unique experience which tells the story of Bruges through the eyes of an assistant to painter Jan Van Eyck.
On the way to Brussels the next day, Alexandra and Pete spent a couple of hours looking at Ghent hotels, before visiting Brussels’ iconic Atomium; fascinating exhibits housed in a colossal representation of an iron crystal.
On their final day in Belgium, before their late flight back to the UK, Alexandra and Pete had a productive day viewing hotels – until a sprained ankle slowed them somewhat. Never ones to give up, they continued their itinerary by tram before hobbling their way back to the airport. The lengths we go to make great holidays for our clients!
To relieve Pete and Alexandra’s Belgian experience – minus the sprained ankle – why not have a look at this:
