Don’t ‘b flat’!  Look ‘sharp’! And don’t miss out on booking this tour with a distinctly musical theme in London which stops at the grand Royal Albert Hall.

You will visit the iconic Royal Albert Hall on Sunday afternoon.

The Royal Albert Hall is one of the world’s most iconic and magical buildings, recognisable across the world. The world’s leading artists from every type of performance have appeared on its stage – from The Beatles and Jimi Hendrix to Dame Shirley Bassey, and from Luciano Pavarotti to Winston Churchill, Albert Einstein and Adele. This is your chance to see inside and tour the building with an afternoon high tea either before or after your visit.

Then off to your hotel for the evening. On Monday morning it’s off to the Musical Museum at Kew, a hidden gem in West London, and home to a mighty Wurlitzer cinema organ, which rises from beneath the stage to entertain you. You will also see a range of self-playing instruments, you will hear tiny musical boxes, violin players and a range of pianos and organs. In the concert hall you will be entertained by the mighty Wurlitzer organ whilst enjoying tea, coffee and biscuits.

Day 1 Sunday Tour & Tea

London and the Royal Albert Hall

Arrive in London after lunch and start your afternoon of exploration at the Royal Albert Hall, just a short distance from Kensington High Street. Your guided tour of this iconic building, which was first opened in 1871 by Queen Victoria, will take you on a fascinating journey through its unique history, incredible architecture and legendary performances. This extensive tour lasts around an hour and features the front of house areas of the Hall, taking in the stunning auditorium, the breathtaking view from the gallery and offering exclusive access to the Royal Retiring Room. You will enjoy an afternoon tea, with scones, delicious cakes, sandwiches, and your choice of tea or coffee. Your afternoon tea can be taken either before or after the guided tour at your choice. After your visit continue to your hotel for dinner (if applicable), where the rest of the evening is at your leisure.

Day 2 Monday Kew The Music

Musical Museum and return home

Enjoy a traditional English breakfast, and off to the Musical Museum, close to Kew Bridge.

On arrival you will be met by your guide, who will show you around.

Step back a hundred years or more and enter the magical world of automatic music. In the era before microphones, an amazing range of instruments were invented to bring the works of the great composers into homes, great and small, and the cafes of the day.

Your visit to the Museum is centred around live presentations of instruments including delicate musical boxes, reproducing pianos, organs and self-playing violins. You will be fascinated by the intricate workings and amazing sound of an orchestrion that recreates the sound of a concert orchestra. You will enter the Concert Hall where whilst enjoying tea, coffee and biscuits, you will be entertained by the mighty Wurlitzer cinema organ, which rises up from beneath the stage. There will also be some free time if you want to explore the Museum independently and also visit the shop.

Leave London at your leisure to return home.
