Day 1
Benvenuti! Welcome!
Arrive in the beautiful country of Italy and transfer to your hotel in Mestre, on the edge of Venice’s famous lagoon. Spend the rest of the day at leisure. Perhaps relax and sip cappuccino or begin exploring your surroundings.
Day 2
Venice Explorer
Today, after breakfast in your hotel, you will discover this world famous city of bridges on a guided tour. Admire the city’s stunning architecture and the fascinating history of the Kingdom of Venice. Spend an afternoon at leisure wandering past the canals and over the bridges. Perhaps embark on a gondola ride and view the city’s glorious architecture from the water.
Day 3
Colourful Glass and Fishermen’s Houses on the Islands of the Lagoon
Join a boat tour to the stunning islands of Murano and Burano. On Murano, glassblowers use traditional techniques to create masterpieces. Admire the artisans’ work and learn why glassblowers were sent to Murano in the first place.
Burano is known for its brightly coloured houses and, of course, for its beautiful intricate lace. Once the ultimate fashion must-have, Burano lace was a coveted and prized possession, and a status symbol. Seeing the tedious yet breathtaking detail, it’s easy to understand why.
This evening, enjoy a three course meal in a Venetian trattoria to round off your holiday, sampling the delights of Italy’s famous cuisine.
Day 4
Ciao
After breakfast, if time allows engage in some final sightseeing or souvenir shopping. Pack up your memories of Venice and commence your journey home.

The town of Mestre is located on the mainland to the west of Venice’s Lagoon, a short 10min train ride across the causeway to Venice’s central Sta Lucia Train Station. Train tickets cannot be purchased in advance and must be purchased locally and operate every few minutes.
