Dutch Bulbfields Mini-Cruise and Delft
In Springtime the Dutch bulbfields are ablaze with flowering tulips, hyacinths, daffodils and a host of other spring flowers. Visit the world famous Keukenhof gardens, one of the world’s finest bulbfields and flower parks where, each year the Dutch bulb growing industry stage their annual petal spectacular. Keukenhof Flower Gardens was once a modest kitchen and herb garden for the Dutch Royal House but now, between March and May every year, seven million bulbs are planted across the park’s 70 acres which burst into bloom for the visitors to enjoy a spectacular rainbow carpet of flowers which has a different theme each year.
Enjoy this perfect short-break getaway to Holland with departures from Hull to Rotterdam, Newcastle to Amsterdam and Harwich to the Hook of Holland – the choice is yours. Enjoy many of the on-board facilities that the cruise ships have to offer, including ensuite cabin accommodation, eateries, cafes, restaurants, bars and some even have entertainment. These tours include a full day ashore for sightseeing. The cruise ferries are operated by P&O Ferries, DFDS Seaways and Stena Line. Meals on board (breakfast and dinner packages) can be arranged in advance for groups.

Day 1
Cruise from UK to Holland
Travel to Hull for mid-afternoon check-in and embark on your relaxing cruise ferry for the overnight sailing to Holland. Enjoy many of the on board facilities before retiring to your cabin.
Day 2
Keukenhof Gardens and Delft Pottery
Prepare for disembarkation early morning. Take a leisurely drive to Keukenhof and spend a few hours walking around 70 acres of spring flowers and gardens. The park has easy walking, plenty of seating, with flat paths and several eateries and shops on-site. As an optional extra, relax as you enjoy the peace and quiet typical Dutch landscape around Keukenhof in an electrically-propelled whisper boat. The boat trip takes 45 minutes and will be enriched by an audio tour about the flower bulb region (cost not included).
En-route back to Rotterdam port, stop at Delft Royal Blue Pottery famous for is blue porcelain and world renowned for its artistry. Enjoy a guided visit and tour with the option to make purchases before leaving.
Carry on to the port and board your cruise ferry for the overnight crossing to the UK, once again enjoying the facilities that the ship has to offer.
Day 3
Arrive UK and return home
Disembark early morning and continue on your journey home.
Ferry crossings are also possible from Newcastle to Amsterdam with DFDS Ferries but it may not be possible to include Delft in the itinerary due to sailing schedules. The same itinerary can be followed using ferry crossings from Harwich to the Hook of Holland with Stena Line Ferries.
