Greatdays launch new 3 day ‘Sleek London – Art Deco Wonders’ tour
Group travel tour operator Greatdays Travel Group has launched a new ‘Sleek London’ Art Deco Tour.
This 3 day tour, hosted by an Art Deco specialist guide, features a visit to English Heritage’s Eltham Palace, a unique Art Deco mansion in a medieval setting, which fuses 1930’s design with ancient architecture set amongst 19 acres of award winning gardens.
Day two is a fascinating ramble on an open top bus through central London, passing by 50 Art Deco designed buildings with stops and visits along the way. Highlights include the stunning Carreras Tobacco Factory, The Daimler Garage, Senate House, coffee stop in The Freemasons Hall, before a lunch stop and tour of the former Battersea Power Station which was recently brought back to life after 40 years of neglect. Afternoon is a trip round the Knightsbridge and Kensington sites before ending the tour at the stunning RIBA building and gallery.
Especially for this tour we have selected three great hotels; 4 star Melia White House, 4 star Strand Palace Hotel and 3 star Tavistock Hotel. Each hotel chosen for their unique design and links to the 1930s which complement the tour.
Commenting on this new tour, Paul Beaumont, Greatdays Executive Director, says: “Throughout the year, we are out and about, visiting hotels, destinations and visitor attractions, and new ideas. We always aim to find new exciting tour ideas for our clients. We are always happy to tailor make itineraries to suit the specific requirements of coach operators and group travel organisers.”
