Shiver with Shakespeare on this 4* Hotel Winter Break with no Single Supplement

This tour combines a visit to Stratford-upon-Avon, birthplace of William Shakespeare, with a full-day tour of the picturesque Cotswolds including Chipping Norton, Stow-on-the-Wold, Moreton-in-Marsh and Broadway. We also visit the magnificent Warwick Castle.

Day 1

Travel to your hotel

Enjoy complimentary tea and coffee on arrival.

Day 2

Stratford-upon-Avon, Shakespeare’s Birthplace, and Shakespeare’s New Place

This morning, we visit Stratford-upon-Avon and Shakespeare’s Birthplace, a timber-framed townhouse in the centre of the town. Next we visit Shakespeare’s New Place, his family home for 19 years. Uncover the fascinating story of why the house is no longer there and discover beautiful gardens and specially-commissioned artworks.

Day 3

Tour of the Cotswolds

Today, we take one of the classic English tours around the villages and small market towns of the Gloucestershire Cotswolds. Our route is likely to include Shipston-on-Stour, Chipping Campden, Moreton-in-Marsh, Broadway, Stow-on-the-Wold and the ‘Little Venice’ of the Cotswolds.

Day 4

Warwick Castle and Royal Leamington Spa

This morning we visit Warwick Castle which offers a remarkable choice of things to do. Take a tour through the beautiful grand interiors to see the magnificent Great Hall and the lavish state rooms. In the afternoon there is free time to explore Royal Leamington Spa. This elegant town in Warwickshire began life quite unassumingly until Dr Kerr discovered the medicinal qualities of its spa water in the late 18th century. The town is still fashionable and chic, with its tree lined avenues, squares and beautiful gardens.
