Tiptoeing through the Tulips

Gina, our B2B Sales Manager, and Pete from our European Department recently hosted a trip for over 90 Group Travel Organisers to the famous Keukenhof Gardens in Holland.  Meeting up at Hull ferry terminal everyone embarked the P & O Ferry for the overnight cruise to Europoort Rotterdam.  After enjoying onboard dinner, there was plenty of entertainment before retiring for the evening.

An early morning call the next day had everyone up and ready for breakfast, before disembarking in Holland and making the short drive by coach to the gardens.  This annual trip has been operating successfully over the last few years and, once again, the gardens didn’t fail to impress.  Though the weather wasn’t too kind initially, the sun did appear in the afternoon which highlighted the flowers and displays in all their glory – and gave Pete a slightly sunburnt scalp! Millions of bulbs of all varieties were planted months in advance to produce the stunning flower displays in the ‘Garden of Europe’.

Sadly, all too soon it was time to return to our ferry for the overnight crossing back to sunny Hull, once again enjoying dinner and on-board entertainment.
