Flying high in Lincolnshire!
This month Sarah and Katharine from the UK department soared to new heights when they visited the newly opened International Bomber Command Centre situated just outside of Lincoln city centre. Visitors can’t help but he wowed by the 102 foot-tall memorial and surrounding wall of names. The site, including an interactive exhibition, provides a point for recognition, remembrance and reconciliation for Bomber Command. Other highlights of the trip included Woodhall Spa and the Kinema in the Woods, the Cleethorpes Light Railway, and time spent in Hull and nearby Grimsby, where we learned about the towns rich fishing past.
