Picturesque North Wales
This week Charlotte and Katharine from the UK Department visited picturesque North Wales. We inspected seven hotels in the area including group favourite St.Kilda’s , located on the buzzing Llandudno promenade. We also called in at Plas Cadnant Hidden Gardens where HRH Prince Charles had visited the week prior. In Snowdonia we stayed at Royal Victoria Hotel and enjoyed the stunning views from the large gardens & also a great night’s sleep.
In the morning we walked to Snowden Mountain Railway where Vince gave us a behind the scenes tour of the station. Sadly there was no time to take the train to the summit as we headed over to Portmeirion. Created by the architect Clough Williams-Ellis to show how a naturally beautiful site could be developed without spoiling it. You need to see the views to believe them! To end our day we called in at Ffestiniog Railway, a magical combination of spectacular landscape and also historic railway.
