City centre walking tour, Edinburgh Castle and National Museum of Scotland
We start the day with a private walking tour that includes the Royal Mile and ends at Edinburgh Castle. While in the Castle don’t miss the Crown Jewels, Stone of Destiny, the ancient dungeons and the shooting of the ‘One o’clock Gun’, a tradition dating back to 1861. The superb National Museum of Scotland celebrates the nation’s culture, history and people and offers a wonderful 360° view of Edinburgh from the roof garden.
Day 3
The Royal Yacht Britannia and Forth Boat Cruise
We then travel to the port of Leith to visit The Royal Yacht Britannia. An audio tour leads you through the five decks, giving a fascinating insight into the lives of the Royal Family. In the afternoon we set sail on a Forth Boat cruise*. No visit to Scotland is complete without a tour of this world-famous UNESCO World Heritage site with the iconic Three Bridges and Inchcolm Island. The Forth of Firth is simply overflowing with myths, turbulent history and fascinating marine wildlife, so sit back and enjoy the stunning scenery with an on-board commentary.
