Dutch Cheese, Pottery, Palaces and Windmills – NEW TOUR
Join us on this tour which includes some of the ‘traditional and iconic’ elements that automatically comes to mind when thinking of Holland such as cheese making and tasting in Gouda, the windmills at the UNESCO World Heritage site of Kinderdijk, watching the craftsmen and women at work in the Royal Porcelain factory in Delft, taking a ‘Royal’ walking tour around The Hague, seeing the wonderful gardens at Het Loo Palace in Apeldoorn and the medieval city of Amersfoort.
Our tour is based in the picturesque city of ’s Hertogenbosch (also known as Den Bosch) which has a rich history exemplified by its extraordinary museums and the authentic shops, bars and restaurants. The Market square, on which our hotel in city centre of Den Bosch is situated, hosts a bustling market three times a week on Wednesdays, Fridays and Saturdays. If you get time to explore it is also worth visiting Saint John’s Cathedral. The city walls and fortifications were built in the 16th and 17th centuries and virtually all of them have remained intact. Two rivers flow through the city: the Dommel and Binnendieze rivers.
