On this tour we combine a guided walking tour of the town with a visit to the Ye Olde Pork Pie Shop. We take lunch in Melton Mowbray before going behind the scenes at the Round Corner Brewing Company for a fascinating brewery tour. Oh, and did we mention the tastings? This is a tour that will appeal to every palate.

Day 1

Travel to Leicestershire

Enjoy a relaxing journey to Leicestershire.

Day 2

Melton walking tour, Ye Olde Pork Pie Shoppe, two-course lunch, and Brewery Tour

This morning we take a 90-minute guided walking tour of Melton Mowbray to discover the secrets of this delightful market town, once home to Anne of Cleves, Henry VIII’s celebrated fourth wife. We visit the world-famous Ye Olde Pork Pie Shoppe, discover how to ‘hand-raise’ a pie, and enjoy a tasting. We take lunch at a local hotel or restaurant.

In the afternoon we take a gentle drive through the picturesque Leicestershire countryside before our final stop at the Round Corner Brewing Company for their fascinating brewery tour. A tour reveals many of the secrets of the process, ending with a tasting. We return to the hotel with time to relax before dinner.

Day 3

Return home

If route and time permit, why not include a stop-off at the National Memorial Arboretum.
