Explore Asti with a walking tour, your guide explaining the highlights and history of this medieval town. Stroll along the arcaded streets and through the main square, Piazza Alfieri. Turin; The Capital of Piedmont
Embark on a mission to find the city’s best chocolate with some tastings. This city is full of fascinating attractions, such as the Mole Antonelliana. Inside is the wonderful National Cinema Museum, which is definitely worth a visit. A glass lift whisks you up the centre of the building to a panoramic viewing platform. Turin is also the home of Juventus Football club and Fiat, so there’s something for everybody!

Suggested itinerary
Day 1-2
Arrive in Asti
Travel through France stopping for an overnight stay before travelling to the beautiful region of Piedmont to your hotel. Enjoy dinner at a local trattoria, and if time permits begin exploring the area.
Day 3
Asti City Day
A guided walking tour will highlight this lovely galleried town, in whose province Asti Spumante is produced. The Piazza Alfieri is the town’s large main square. An optional excursion by coach will take you to the Barolo vineyards and the nearby town of Alba.
Day 4
Asti Spumante Day
Head towards Canelli, the centre of Spumante production, with 580 wine estates! There is an amazing network of underground cellars under the town and where an included guided tour and tasting has been included (seasonal opening). A visit will also be made of the museum, cellars and plant of the most famous of all Spumante producers, the Gancia Brothers.
Day 5
Turin and Chocolate
Turin, home of the Turin Shroud, FIAT and Juventus Football Club. See the highlights of this fascinating city including Palazzo Reale, Mole Antonelliana, the Village and medieval Castle before taking the opportunity to taste delicious samples from one of Turin’s historic confectionary shops and chocolate factories. End your stay in Italy with a traditional Piedmontese Gala dinner back at the hotel.
Day 6-7
Depart Italy
The time has come to leave this picturesque part of Italy behind and travel north, stopping in France for overnight stay before returning to the UK on day 7.
