Day 1
Depart the UK
Fly from London Gatwick to Shannon Airport (other departure airports are available on request). Upon arrival you will be collected by a local driver who will take you to your hotel just in time to enjoy a delicious Irish dinner.
Day 2
Cliffs of Moher and Burren Tour
After breakfast your coach will collect you and take you to one of Irelands most visited natural attractions, the Cliffs of Moher. Standing more than 700 feet at their highest point, they stretch for five miles along the Atlantic coast. Our journey then takes us along the cost road through the ‘moonscape’ of the Burren and past Dunquaire Castle.
Day 3
Foynes Flying Boat & Maritime Museum, Lartigue Monorail and Adare Village
This morning your coach will take you to Foynes Flying Boat & Maritime Museum, the only dedicated flying boat museum in the world where there’s an opportunity to step on board a full-size replica flying boat and discover the origins of the world’s first ever Irish Coffee. We continue on to the quaint village of Adare to enjoy the thatched roof cottages on the main street. Afterwards we enjoy a ride on the remarkable Lartigue Monorail.
Day 4
Free time in Galway city
Enjoy a full day in the characteristic city of Galway. In this coastal city you have the opportunity to visit the Spanish Arch, wander the cobbled shopping streets, relax in Eyre Square (where you will find the JFK memorial), take in the beautiful scenery from Galway Bay, take a city tour by foot or bus, or visit the Galway Cathedral and Lynch’s Castle.
Day 5
Morning – Bunratty Castle and Folk Park and Ennis.
Another remarkable attraction on your final day as we visit Bunratty Castle and Folk Park, a 15th century castle and a 26-acre park featuring more than 30 buildings in a ‘living’ village and rural setting where 19th century Irish life is brought to life. In the early afternoon we visit the picturesque historic market town.
Afternoon – Return home
Say farewell to County Clare as your coach takes you to Shannon Airport for your return flight home.
