Greenwich Ahoy! A nautical visit to the Capital
Visit beautiful and elegant Greenwich on this 3 day tour, with its wonderful architecture and rich naval heritage. Wander the riverside and enjoy watching the world go by. You will have a full day to explore, and spend 2 nights in the cosmopolitan Docklands area of London.
Your full day tour will start by driving to Tower Pier to meet your guide, a trip on the Thames to Greenwich with commentary, a chance to look round Greenwich Market followed by lunch, with an afternoon visiting the Royal Naval Museum and then chance to maybe visit the Royal Observatory or the Cutty Sark, before returning to your hotel.

Day 1
Travel to London
Arrive in London and your hotel during the afternoon. You have some free now to explore. We can suggest a visit to the Museum of London or just take in this fantastic new part of London, with new bars, restaurants and shops springing up. We can also arrange dinner in the hotel if you wish (supplement on request), or will be pleased to suggest places to eat.
Day 2
Full Day Greenwich
Enjoy breakfast in your hotel, then drive into the City and Tower Pier.
10.30am – Arrive at Tower Pier.
Meet your guide at Tower Pier. Here you will join the boat to cruise down river to the elegant town of Greenwich.
10.50am – City Cruises trip down river to Greenwich.
Enjoy this comfortable and picturesque way of travelling which allows you to see London from a different perspective. Listen to your crew’s witty commentary about the sights along the river banks. You may wish to enjoy a coffee or tea on board this cruiser while taking in the views.
11.30am – Greenwich Market.
On leaving the boat, your guide will escort you around the historic Greenwich Market.The market was established in 1700 and has evolved over the centuries to become the world heritage site it is today. Explore the numerous independent and boutique shops and listen to your guide’s interesting commentary.
12.30pm – Lunch at Cafe Rouge.
Enjoy a delicious two course lunch with tea and coffee at this well located French Bistro in the heart of Greenwich.
2.00pm – Royal Naval College.
After lunch your guide will escort you around the stunning facades of the Old Royal Naval College situated on the banks of the River Thames. Visit the Painted Hall (the town’s answer to the Sistine Chapel) and the College Chapel. You will be amazed by the treasures held within this building and its significance in history.
3.00pm – Time to explore.
Why not visit the Cutty Sark or the Royal Observatory, or simply find a nautical watering hole along the river where you can sit with a drink and watch the boats go by.
Return to your hotel late afternoon, with the evening at your leisure.
Day 3
Leave London & Free Time
After breakfast in the hotel, the rest of the day is at your leisure before you leave London.
You may wish to head back into Central London with a visit to the Tower or perhaps a trip up the Shard if you have a head for heights. Please let us know your interests and we will be pleased to make suggestions.

We offer the hotels on a bed & breakfast basis allowing you the freedom to eat at one of the many restaurants or bars in the area, however we can also arrange dinner in your hotel if you wish, and supplements are available on request.
