Summer 2026 sees Kew Gardens present the largest ever outdoor exhibition of works by Henry Moore. This landmark event includes 30 sculptures around the Gardens as well as a collection of significant artworks, showcased in the Shirley Sherwood Gallery, encompassing Moore’s entire career. The exhibition weaves together key themes of Moore’s work, offering visitors a unique opportunity to experience the beauty and richness of Moore’s art and its connection to nature.
Wander through beautiful glasshouses such as the iconic Palm House, home to an exotic rainforest; explore different climate zones at the Princess of Wales Conservatory; or be amazed by the giant lily pads at the Waterlily House.
For a bird’s-eye view of the gardens, walk along the 18-metre high (59ft) Treetop Walkway.
Enjoy floral displays from more than 60,000 plants along the Great Broad Walk Borders or spot some of the 14,000 trees in the colourful Arboretum.
The gardens also include the ornate Great Pagoda and Kew Palace – the former summer residence of King George III, which is open in the summer months.

Day 1
Travel to London and Kew Gardens with Henry Moore
Arrive in London, and visit Kew Gardens,
Any time of the year is a great time to visit Kew Gardens as you can find a ton of events throughout the year.
If you are particularly interested in seeing the plants bloom, then the perfect time to visit is in spring, when the temperatures are getting warmer, leaves and plants start to grow again and flower buds start to blossom.
In summer, Kew Gardens is in full bloom and attracts visitors with a full host of art exhibitions
Even the cold season is worth the visit. Thanks to the warm temperatures of the greenhouses, you can see plants blossom all year round. Experience an oasis of tranquility away from the hustle and bustle of central London or enjoy the changing colours of autumn around the gardens.

Day 2
RHS Wisley , Windsor or free time
Enjoy a traditional English breakfast, you then have some options !
Wisley was given to the RHS in 1903 and is now a hub of horticultural excellence and a top visitor attraction, with 240 acres to explore. It is home to some of the largest plant collections anywhere on the globe and showcases inspirational gardening. Planting schemes are constantly evolving to ensure there’s always something new to excite and inspire visitors.
RHS Garden Wisley has undergone some exciting changes in recent years with the opening of a new Welcome building that sweeps visitors into the heart of world-class horticulture, as well as a large Garden Centre and the new Wisley Café.
Windsor Castle is the oldest and largest occupied castle in the world. It is open to visitors throughout the year. Founded by William the Conqueror in the 11th century, it has since been the home of 40 monarchs. You may also have time to visit this charming town on the banks of the River Thames

Henry Moore Studios and Gardens in Hertfordshire
Why not combine a visit to the Henry Moore statues at Kew Gardens with a visit to the Sculpture Gardens and studio situated in the Hertfordshire Countryside close to Bishops Stortford. The gardens and studios are open on Wednesdays to Sundays , so there is an option to visit these on Sunday afternoon, and then the Kew Garden statues on the Monday . Please be aware that only coaches max 11m in length can access this area due to the narrow roads.
