Day 1
Welcome to Hong Kong
Fly to Hong Kong airport where you will be met and transferred to your hotel. If time permits, begin exploring this fascinating city!
Day 2
Temples and Markets
Today, discover the urban area of Kowloon to reveal some of Hong Kong fascinating cultural heritage. Perhaps take a tour to see the famous Qing-dynasty walled city that has been transformed into a lovely city park. At Wong Tai Sin Temple you can have your fortunes told and the splendid Chi Lin Nunnery is a beautiful Buddhist temple. You can also learn the secrets of buying Jade at the Jade market. Perhaps explore this area aboard an open-top bus, whizzing through the neon lights of Nathan Road.
This evening, perhaps hunt for bargains amidst locals at the Temple Street Night Market. Step into a bustling atmosphere of fragrant food stalls. Be intrigued by fortune-tellers and chess masters and serenaded by Cantonese opera singers.
Day 3
A View of Hong Kong
Why not explore Lantau Island, today? A 25 minute ride on the Ngong Ping 360 cable car is packed with breathtaking panoramic views of the distant South China Sea and the rolling grassland slopes of North Lantau, far removed from urban centre. At the top you’ll find a number of attractions including a Big Buddha and beautiful monastery.
Another way to take in stunning views of Hong Kong is to enjoy a harbour cruise. Stunning at any time of day, dinner cruises allow you to see the city lights shimmering on the water. Perhaps experience the famous ‘A Symphony of Lights’ show, which illuminates the city’s skyline, its dynamic energy reflecting that of the Hong Kong.
Day 4
Natural Hong Kong
Hong Kong is also home to a splendorous array of biodiversity. Head to the Hong Kong Wetland Park to explore 60 hectares of nature. Learn about the wetland’s ecosystem and need to preserve it.
Alternatively, sail out to Sai Kung. A boat ride to these remote islands set amid dramatic seascapes in the South China Sea, including volcanically formed cliffs, is simply breathtaking. Perhaps take a dip and enjoy swimming and snorkelling in the jade waters.
Day 5
Departure
The time has come to leave this intriguing place. Transfer to the airport for your return flight to the UK.
