In this tour, staying at the 4-star Fitzgeralds Woodlands House Hotel & Spa in Adare, we combine the opportunity to experience true Irish heritage with time to relax in the hotel’s leisure club and spa.
Enjoy exploring the delights of Killarney before taking a traditional Jaunting Car to Muckross House and Gardens. On the trip we will also visit the Foynes Flying Boat & maritime Museum, the only dedicated flying boat museum in the world. Then, travel on the remarkable Lartigue monorail before visiting the quaint village of Adare. Other visits will include Buntratty Castle and Folk Park.

Day 1
Depart the UK
Travel to Ireland by coach and ferry or fly from your local airport, and then travel on to Adare.
Day 2
Killarney, Jaunting Car Ride and Muckross House
Enjoy a morning at leisure in delightful Killarney. In the afternoon we take a traditional Jaunting Car (a horse-drawn cart) to Muckross House & Gardens, the jewel of Killarney National Park.
Day 3
Foynes Flying Boat & Maritime Museum, Lartigue Monorail and Adare Village
This morning we visit the Foynes Flying Boat & Maritime Museum, the only dedicated flying boat museum in the world where there’s an opportunity to step on board a full-size replica flying boat and discover the story behind the world’s first ever Irish Coffee (and optional tasting). Afterwards we enjoy a ride on the remarkable Lartigue monorail, a replica of the original steam-powered monorail that operated from 1888 to 1924. We then continue on to the quaint village of Adare to walk through the village to view the thatched cottages.
Day 4
Bunratty Castle and Folk Park and free time
Bunratty Castle and Folk Park is a 15th century castle and a 26-acre park featuring more than 30 buildings in a ‘living’ village where 19th century Irish life is brought to life. In the afternoon there’s free time to relax in the hotel, indulge in a luxury spa treatment, or spend time in the leisure club. We can also arrange afternoon tea at the nearby 5-star Adare Manor Hotel.

This family-run hotel offers superb Irish hospitality and it’s just 10 minutes from Limerick City. The Hotel‘s facilities include a leisure club with a well-equipped gym, pool and Spa, an award-winning restaurant serving traditional Irish food and a bar where guests can enjoy some Irish music. Free Wi-Fi is available throughout the hotel. Rooms have private bathrooms with luxury toiletries and fluffy towels, TV, hairdryer, desk and satellite channels. Access to the spa is at a supplement.
