The famous Jersey Battle of the Flowers was first staged in 1902 in celebration of the Coronation of King Edward VII and Queen Alexandra. This tour combines grandstand seats for both the Grand Parade and the Moonlight Parade with an Island Tour and free time to relax in the hotel or explore St Helier.

Depending on sailing times, overnights may be required.

Suggested itinerary

Day 1

Travel to Jersey

Fly to Jersey or take the ferry from Poole. Transfer to your hotel.

Day 2

Battle of the Flowers Grand Parade.

Enjoy a relaxing morning before we take our grandstand seats for the Grand Parade. Listen out for the cry of “Let battle commence!”, the signal for the parade of flower-festooned floats to start its two-hour procession, accompanied by musicians, dancers and bands.

Day 3

Battle of the Flowers Moonlight Parade and Fireworks

Today is free for you to spend at leisure. After dinner we take our seats in the grandstand for the climax of the carnival, the Moonlight Parade. The floats are festooned with thousands of illuminated lights giving a magical appearance. The parade lasts around an hour and is followed by a fireworks display.

Day 4

Island Tour

Today, we enjoy a full-day tour with our driver/guide.

Day 5

Wartime Tunnels and La Mare Wine Estate.

This morning, we take an educational and emotional journey through the five years of German occupation during WWII at the Jersey War Tunnels. In the afternoon we visit the La Mare Wine Estate for a tour and tasting.

Day 6

Jersey Zoo and The Botanic Gardens at Samarès Manor.

This morning, experience the various aromas and colours at The Botanic Gardens at Samarès Manor. In the afternoon, we enjoy time at Jersey Zoo.

Day 7

Free Day in St Helier.

There’s free time today to explore St Helier.

Day 8

Return Home.
