We also take to the fresh waters of Loch Katrine aboard the Steamship Sir Walter Scott. We also cross the Firth of Clyde by ferry to visit the Isle of Bute.
There is also an additional option to board the Paddle Steamer Waverley, the world’s last seagoing paddle steamer, dependant on 2024 timetable.

Day 2
Isle of Bute and Mount Stuart
Today, we take the ferry to Rothesay Port to visit the delightful Isle of Bute. We visit Mount Stuart, a 19th century country manor house, one of Scotland’s most spectacular Gothic mansions. Architecturally fascinating, a mixture of Georgian and Victorian design, and home to the worlds first heated domestic swimming pool.
Day 3
Forth Boat Cruise with Cream Tea and Edinburgh
After breakfast we travel to Port Edgar Marina, 20 minutes outside Edinburgh, to Forth Boat Tours for our 90 minute cruise along the Firth of Forth. Relax on board in the heated saloon or on the outside decks and listen to the guided commentary. Appreciate unrivalled views of the Three Bridges and Blackness Castle, as featured in Outlander, whilst enjoying a cream tea onboard. Next we travel into Edinburgh and enjoy free time in Scotland’s capital city.
Day 4
Loch Katrine Cruise and Loch Lomond
Today’s excursion takes us deep into the spectacular scenery of the Trossach’s. Our first stop is Loch Katrine where we enjoy a 2-hour Loch cruise on the Steamship Sir Walter Scott. Loch Katrine has drawn tourists for hundreds of years, ever since Sir Walter Scott’s vivid descriptions inspired a generation of Victorian tourists to visit the loch to see the landscape for themselves. After our cruise, we take a scenic drive along the shores of Loch Lomond.
