This Liverpool tour shows that there is so much more to Liverpool than the Beatles. The city has a rich maritime heritage and its impressive waterfront is a UNESCO World Heritage Site. The city plays host to a number of fascinating museums and galleries and two very special, but very different, cathedrals.
On your tour you will enjoy a guided tour of the city, to visit they key sites including Pier Head, The three Graces and some of Liverpool’s cathedrals. A must see is the Liverpool museum, with 3 floors of Liverpool’s fascinating history, from soldiers to the railways. Your tour will take you to Port Sunlight a beautiful and unique village; home to the Lady Lever art gallery and the Ness gardens, an outstanding botanic garden.

Day 1
Travel to your hotel

Day 2
Guided Tour of the City and Museum of Liverpool
Enjoy a guided tour of the city. See Pier Head and the Three Graces (including the famous Liver Building), two fascinating cathedrals and the stunning heritage Waterfront. A must see is the Museum of Liverpool. Opened in 2011, over 6,000 objects bring Liverpool’s incredible heritage to life, celebrating thousands of years of the city’s achievements.
Day 3
Port Sunlight and Ness Gardens
Today, head out of the city and visit Lord Lever’s famous village at Port Sunlight. Built in 1888 to house the Lever Factory workers, the pretty village is also home to the Lady Lever Art Gallery, built by Lord Leverhulme in memory of his beloved wife. In the afternoon, visit the superb Ness Gardens, an outstanding botanic garden. Stroll amongst the beautiful herbaceous borders, Victorian style Potager, waterfall and water gardens and admire the stunning views across the Dee estuary.
Day 4
At Leisure
Enjoy a free day in this fantastic city. For art lovers, the city is home to some fantastic galleries – the most famous being Tate Liverpool and the Walker Art Gallery. You could explore the region’s maritime history at the Maritime Museum or indulge in some retail therapy at the Liverpool One shopping centre.
Day 5
Return home
Before heading home, visit Crosby and see Anthony Gormley’s ‘Another Place’ – over 100 life-size cast iron figures spread out along the beach, all looking out to sea.
