Be entertained in Djemaa El Fna, one of Africa’s busiest squares. A veritable carnival of fortune-tellers and acrobats, belly dancers, snake bewitchers and musicians. Cheeky young men persuade you to dine at their establishment whilst billows of smoke spiralling into the air from food carts. Experience the local cuisine by trying a tagine, mint tea or authentic Moroccan couscous.
Beyond the city see the snow-capped Atlas Mountains and be awed by the great Kasbahs towering over the landscape. These fortresses are reminiscent of a mystical past, conjuring images of merchants crossing the desert on camel and sleeping in caravanserais. Morocco is a land of mystery and beauty – be swept away by the magic of Marrakech.
