Leicestershire is a county famous for its food and drink. At the heart of all of this is the market town of Melton Mowbray, with a growing reputation as the UK’s ‘Rural Capital of Food’. On this tour we combine a guided walking tour of the town. We also visit Belvoir Castle, home of the afternoon tea, for a guided tour followed by Cream Tea, and call into Round Corner Brewing
Company for a tour and tasting.

Day 1
Travel to Leicestershire and Brewery Tour.
Enjoy a relaxing journey to Leicestershire. Before arriving at our hotel, we visit the Round Corner Brewing Company for their fascinating brewery tour. The tour reveals many of the secrets of the process, ending with a tasting. We return to the hotel with time to relax before dinner.
Day 2
Belvoir Castle with Cream Tea and Melton Walking Tour
This morning, we visit the place where Afternoon Tea originated, Belvoir Castle. Here we have a guided castle tour followed by a Belvoir Cream Tea. This afternoon, we take a 90-minute guided walking tour of Melton Mowbray to discover the secrets of this delightful market town, once home to Anne of Cleves, Henry VIII’s celebrated fourth wife. There is then free time to explore the many artisan food shops. We return to the hotel with time to relax before dinner.
Day 3
Return home
If route and time permit, why not include a stop-off at the National Memorial Arboretum, or if not, please ask us for suggested stops.
