The splendid Duomo Cathedral is one of the city’s most iconic sights and the Piazza in front is classed as the heart of Milan. The ornate façade impresses from afar, whereas the interior is a sight to behold! In the Crypt, see the remains of the Roman temple on the same site. The walk up the many steps to the roof is definitely worth the while as you are afforded unrivalled views of the city and the beautiful cathedral and Piazza. Leonardo da Vinci’s ‘Last Supper’, a 15th-century mural and one of the world’s most famous paintings, can be found in the refectory of the Convent of Santa Maria delle Grazie.
