ENTERTAINMENT BREAK WITH A VARIETY OF PERFORMERS
2 Night Motown, ’60s and Soul Entertainment break
Entertainment
Our wonderful 2 night short break celebrates the eclectic blend of rhythm and blues, soul, funk, gospel and pop that is Motown. Forged in ’60’s and ’70’s Detroit, the hit record-label caused a sensation, crossing cultural divides and launching superstars such as The Jackson 5, Diana Ross and The Supremes, Stevie Wonder, Marvin Gaye and many more.
To get us warmed up and the party started, on Sunday we enjoy an evening dedicated to the best of ‘60s and Soul with our talented keyboard player and singer Chris and Gabi, members of Relative Cool. Our duo will be accompanied by our DJ who will be playing the best tracks from the swinging ’60s.
On Monday night our 5-piece band, featuring lead female vocals, guitar, bass, drums and keys, will perform some of Motown’s best known hits that are sure to get you singing along and up on the dance-floor. There is also a DJ to keep the party going well into the night.
Food and Drink
A three-course buffet dinner will be served in the function room each evening before the entertainment begins, followed the next day by a hearty buffet breakfast in the King’s Grill.
Chester
Historic Chester is a great location for your 2 night break! A compact city, perfect for strolling along the most complete city walls in Britain with views over the River Dee. The famous Chester Eastgate Street is known for the two tiered timber ‘Rows’ where you can find independent, quirky shops, bars, restaurants and attractions. Nearby is the historical landmark golden Eastgate Clock – this is an ideal spot to take a photograph with your friends. Wander to the ruins of the Roman amphitheatre before a short visit to Chester Cathedral combines medieval and modern architecture with magnificent vaulted ceilings – a great place to stop for a cup of tea and a slice of cake.
