Day 1
Welcome to Paris
Take a ferry from Dover to Calais then continue through France to Paris. Check into your hotel, and if time permits, begin exploring the local area.
Day 2
Romantic Paris by day and by night
In the day time, why not enjoy an optional guided tour of the French capital to discover the sights the city has to offer – both world famous landmarks and lesser-known highlights only a local can point out. Traditional half-day city tours are always best sellers, but why not consider a tour at sunset where you can see Paris at its most beautiful, showcasing the city’s wonderfully lit buildings and monuments.
Alternatively, why not ascend to the top of Tour Montparnasse 56 for one of the best views of Paris and the Eiffel Tower in town! At 689ft tall and Paris’s only skyscraper, the indoor viewing platform and visitor centre on the 56th floor offers excellent 360° panoramas. Head to the rooftop terrace at sundown for a light show and views of the illuminated monuments – what better way to see the wonderful panorama Paris can offer?
For the ultimate in romance, why not make a visit to ‘Le mur des je t’aime’ (I love you: the wall)? Located in the heart of the Montmartre area on the Square Jehan Rictus, this 40m² mural has ‘I love you’ inscribed 311 times in many different languages – truly a wonderful sight to see.
Day 3
Beautiful Paris
Perhaps enjoy a scenic stroll through Paris’ iconic sights. Wander through the famous Latin Quarter, see the St Michel Fountain or call in to Notre Dame. Paris has many beautiful parks to explore, including the Jardins de Luxembourg, home of the French Senate, the sculpture filled Jardins des Tuileries next to the Louvre or the lesser-known Parcs des Buttes-Chaumont or Parc Montsouris. Walk on the bridges across the River Seine and spot the love locks, placed by couples to ensure their love will last forever.
In the afternoon, take an included leisurely cruise down the river. Departing from the foot of the Eiffel Tower, you’ll pass Notre Dame, the Musée d’Orsay, Louvre and Pont Neuf amongst other sights. Then head to the Montmatre to see the amazing Sacré-Cœur Basilica (entrance not included), Being the highest point of the city, this place has always been chosen by the believers, now sitting here is the Basilica overlooking city giving panoramic views of Paris. Afterwards, make the short trip from here to La Bonne Fracquette, to enjoy the delicious French cuisine for your final evening in Paris.
Day 4
Departure
Leave the romantic city of Paris today. Perhaps you have time for a final stroll along the Seine with your special someone before beginning your journey back to the UK.
