In July and August a section of the Seine’s banks are transformed into a beach so you can enjoy seaside vibes during this city break. Stroll along the banks of the River Seine and leafy, tree-lined boulevards. Day 1
Welcome to Paris
Catch the Eurostar from London St Pancras to Paris Gare du Nord. Upon arrival, walk over to your nearby hotel and check in before beginning to explore Paris.
If you chose to stay at a hotel further from Gare du Nord, transfers can also be arranged.
Day 2
Explore Paris & Seine Cruise
Today, venture out to explore Paris. For added insight, we can arrange a guided tour to introduce you to both the famous landmarks and the lesser-known highlights only a local can point out. However, for your convenience enjoy a 48 hour city sightseeing ticket to get between the city’s many attractions while taking in the informative commentary. You’ll pass Notre Dame, the Musée d’Orsay, Louvre, Arc de Triomphe and Pont Neuf amongst other sights.
Perhaps end your day with a view over this incredible city. Ascend to the top of Tour Montparnasse 56 for one of the best views of Paris and the Eiffel Tower in town! At 689ft tall and Paris’s only skyscraper, the indoor viewing platform and visitor centre on the 56th floor offers excellent 360° panoramas, or head to the rooftop terrace at sundown for a light show and views of the illuminated monuments.
Day 3
Relax in Paris
Today, why not spend the morning exploring more of Paris’ boundless culture in its world class museums or head to the Champs-Élysées for a wonderland of excellent shopping.
Or, why not go to the beach? In July and August, the beauty of Paris and sea-side fun collide with Paris Plage (Paris Beach). Pedestrianising over 3.5 kilometres of the Right Banks of the River Seine, the waterside is covered in sand, deckchairs, sand castle and pétanque competitions. Up at the Bassin de la Villette, enjoy water activities including rowing boats and pedalos.
Day 4
Departure
If time permits, enjoy a final walk by the Seine or shop for some last-minute souvenirs. Then head to the Gare du Nord station to hop on your Eurostar back to London, before continuing to your local area.
