Travel to London, and may we suggest that your first stop is at Kew Gardens for some time to explore this world famous attraction. With more than 130 hectares of landscapes and gardens, tropical glasshouses, giant water lily pools, a treetop walkway and lake, it’s no wonder that Kew is a firm favourite with groups of all ages.

RHS Wisley Gardens & Glow

Breakfast in your hotel, then drive to Wisley for a full days experience

Come on a magical adventure at Wisley during Glow 2020, with fantastical flowers to light your way. Wander the enchanting trail to see spectacular light installations, a selection of Wisley’s iconic trees illuminated and floating lights creating rippling reflections.

RHS Wisley and guided tour

Royal Horticultural Society Wisley is generally regarded as the jewel in the crown of the many RHS gardens around the UK and undoubtedly one of the finest gardens in the world. There are more than 200 acres of gardens offering exquisite examples of innovative design and cultivation techniques. Your visit includes a 60-minute tour, giving you time to learn all about the history of the RHS and Wisley and explore the impressive glasshouse and exotic plants. It’s a fitting end to three days of gardening excellence.

Wisley Glow

Along the way, venture into the Woodland Realm inside The Glasshouse and don’t miss the spectacular view of the Laboratory and Jellicoe Canal as you near the end of the illuminated trail.
Step into the Woodland Realm that has transformed The Glasshouse. This is where the Wood Elves live who care for all creatures of the forest and also Santa’s reindeer when they aren’t flying through the skies on Christmas Eve. Spot the elves in their green and brown garb watching over the reindeer and see their homes high in the trees, hung with plants growing in glass balls and sparkling with crystals like raindrops. Look out for other woodland creatures and toadstools along the stream where some reindeers are drinking. Marvel at the tall tree built from poinsettias.

You can also visit the Plant Centre and Gift Shop – open late during Glow at Wisley.

Windsor, The Musical Museum or other area attractions and return home

Enjoy a traditional English breakfast; you then have some free time to explore.  We have lots of suggestions in the area for you. Take the short drive to Windsor, and maybe a visit to the Castle. The Musical Museum at Kew Bridge offers a guided tour, organ recital and tea & biscuits, or continue the garden theme with a visit to Kew.
