Sail along to the UNESCO world heritage site of Boppard, located on a horseshoe bend of the river. After exploring this pretty little town, you’ll sail along towards Rüdesheim during the Rhine in Flames event! Showers and cascades of colourful lights will erupt over the waters during the magnificent hilltop firework display. The lights reflect on the waters, creating an enchanting visual delight.

Suggested Itinerary
Day 1
Arrive in France
Depart from your local area and travel to Dover for a ferry crossing to Calais. From there, travel on to Reims for an overnight stop.
Day 2
Board the Cruise in Strasbourg
Continue your journey to Strasbourg today. Board the ship in the early evening and settle into your cabin. Then, enjoy a welcome cocktail alongside the Captain’s welcome which will introduce the crew. Join an optional excursion to explore Strasbourg’s Old Town on a river boat (subject to availability). Cruise through the night.
Day 3
Boppard and the Rhine in Flames
The morning will be spent cruising, reaching Boppard in the late afternoon. Perhaps enjoy a tour of the Old Town with the hostess. Tonight, enjoy a magical evening as you encounter the legendary ‘Rhine in Flames’. The river will be illuminated with a spectacular firework show. We’ll continue to Koblenz during the night.
Day 4
Koblenz – Rüdesheim: The Romantic Rhine Valley
Today we sail up the most beautiful part of the Romantic Rhine River between Koblenz and Rüdesheim, arriving in Rüdesheim in the late afternoon. Perhaps join an optional excursion to discover Rüdesheim on board a tourist train and stop at a wine tasting cellar, followed by a visit to the Museum of Mechanical Musical Instruments. Tonight, feel free to amble down the Drosselgasse, famous for its traditional cafes.
Day 5
Cruise to Mannheim
This morning, we depart from Rüdesheim and sail on to Mannheim. From there, you have the opportunity to join an excursion to the beautiful town of Heidelberg. Tonight, enjoy a gala dinner on board to mark the final evening of the cruise. Sail to Strasbourg through the night.
Day 6
Disembark in Strasbourg
Enjoy a final buffet breakfast on board before disembarking at 9.00 am. Continue to Reims, where you’ll have time to explore the town this afternoon. Why not enjoy a wine tasting? Overnight stop.
Day 7
Return to the UK
Today, head to Calais for your return ferry crossing to the UK. Continue to your local area.
